anybody hear from or have an update on the guy that crashed sat. end of the day. he hurt his back bad after going off the berm and had to be airlifted out. i know they were from dallas but hadnt heard any info on how he was doing

The guy's name is Richard Morgan, he is from Dallas. One of my best friends, been riding with him for many years, super nice guy. He mostly rides @ Swan. They airlifted him to Austin Breckenridge and operated on him yesterday. He has 4 crushed vertebra. I just talked to him, no feeling or movement in his legs yet. He is going to be in the Hospital for a while. Say a prayer, it could happen to any of us.

my thoughts and prayers are with him. it was a scary moment at first he said he could not move his legs, but as we got him to calm down and lay still he could move and feel his legs but was in horible pain. we helped get him loaded up and unhooked his trailer for him so his girlfriend could drive up there. please let him know we are thinking of him and hopeing for the best

I so hope he is able to walk again.
Good luck Richard.
I really hope you guys didn't move him from the spot he landed. With any sort of spinal injury the only person that should move him at all should be the trained paramedics.

I went to see Richard on Monday and spoke with him on the phone on Wednesday. He had surgery on Sunday and a second surgery yesterday. I has full feeling and movement in his legs, but does not have full feeling in his feet. I tried to call him last night, but didn't reach him. I hope yesterday's surgery went well.

Great news!
Swelling had pressed on his spinal cord causing him to lose feeling. He'll definitely walk again! Riding might not be worth the risk to him however as he'll likely get titanium rods in his back and unfortunately that chapter of his life just might be over.
