I just got off the phone with Byron (571c). He's leaving Denton Hospital, he's a little dinged up, but will live to fight another day.


He was there with Kiwi (181c); he'd gone down on one of the downhills and a brokend footpeg tore a hole in his right thigh. He was headed into surgery to get it repaired. Apparently it got into the tendon too.

Kiwi had my fiance ride his 450 back to camp and she said he is one tough SoB..said it was a really narely wound. Hope he is ok. If there is any new news please keep us up to date. Hate to see injuries like that.

i just talked to his girl friend and she said that he was in surgery to clean and close up the womband to make sure there was no more damage done !!
and yes he is one tuff SOB but also one of the nices guys you will ever meet !! If I here more I will let yall know keep him in your prayers

I'm not sure who the person was, someone I believe with a beard, stopped to help me. He was behind me when I went down. I wanted to say thank you.

Also, thank you Devin and Josh for helping me get to the hospital.

I dislocated my shoulder (nothing broke) and have a concussion. Doctors say I will be fine.

Glad to hear your ok, I didn't see the crash, but I rolled up right after it,I think you could have picked a softer place to land then on those Huge Boulders. LOL sorry it probably hurts to laugh.

My girlfriend was there when Kiwi rolled into camp on the back of a quad. She said it was gnarly.

Kiwi is doing pretty good this morning. He was doped up when I talked with him. But said the docs went in last night to repair any tendon or ligament damage of they found any. Sounds as if everything was as good as it could be in that department but some muscle tearing. He's all sewn up and should be released sometime this evening was report this morning.

He says thanx to everyone who helped him out. He's from New Zealand and has played lots of Rugby, so we know he's got mental issues. So, thanx to the ones who stopped him to make him realize his crash was more than a minor flesh wound.

He also would like the pics that were being taken. Something about campfires, beers and storytime...

His also ONE HELL of a TOUGH GUY also, I saw that wound.

Thanks to everyone that stopped and helped me out. I appreciate the ladies that tried tgo stuanch the blood, and to the girls who got me back to camp. It ended up being down to the bone 8-10 inches, cut through the IT muscle band and was full of dirt. Jacked up on pain meds, I will be at the last race but I will not be rding unfortunately. Should be back in a month for torn and TSCEC.

Also a huge thanks to Jen for sorting my gear out and getting my truck loaded and to Chris and the rest of the people who helped in the stopping of the bleeding.Oh and everyone that took care of my bike I think I may have scared the ladies at the gas station in pilot point when I hobbled in there cover in blood with my pants cut off.
