Greetings,
Just floating around the Internets and came across this site.
Want to say hello to friends and family from a few years ago.
In the past I have worked with AMSA on various playdays, track clearing, races and put on a Honda Playday at my backyard track back in the day.

I see Cardwells name here and there but who else that was involved from the late '80's and early '90's are still hanging around? I still have AMSA t's and even one from the Rockne AMA National hare Scramble in 1991.

Also about finished restoring the "Wild Chile" 1983 YZ250, a fast old bike with non existant brakes makes for exciting times!

So.....what up AMSA!

Welcome back, Joe! There are quite a few of us still around from the old days. I still have a couple of 1988 Austin Dirt Riders t-shirts, although they fit a little snug these days, lol!! Get that YZ250 together and lets ride. Hopefully the weather will cooperate soon, otherwise we may have to take up mud bogging. Do you still have the backyard track? We would love to have another good place to ride. Let us know!

Greetings,
Been working on the YZ when I have time.
Haven't been out on the dirt much except in my golf cart or on tractor.....LOL!
Still have the MX track but need to groom it desperately...but have a better tractor now so it shouldn't take much to get it back in shape...that, and it weaves in and out of the castle paintball field.....
The hare scramble loop in the front that was connected off of the MX track is completely overgrown and pretty much back to primitive conditions.
I will try to drop in on one of the Rockne area playdays and visit for a while.

Joe, can a few of us come out and look at what we have to work with some time?

I emailed you a while back but I guess you did not receive it. Anyway, email me sometime and we can work something out or stop by and visit.

We appreciate your interest in the club and the possibilites of a family ride day at your place.

Thanks,
-Larry

Yep.... I remember the Honda play day.

that day my boy fell off his 50 and started crying, he wouldn't get back on it until I was going to leave it in the woods and give him a ride back on my bike. No way was he going to leave his bike, so the tears stopped and he got back on and rode. I like to remind him about that still today.
