I must admit....I for one was missing our race buddies, and I knew it was killing my hubby not going out there to race. I have heard Kenny is doing good after his ha. I've heard that he is waiting for stents to be put in or some sort...he is a family friend come to find out.....
After all of the racers and spectators got settled down after the excitement from that..BTW i do not think ANY KID should have been watching that episode. I don't care if you were their mothers or their babysitters....they didn't need to see it....
To add to my shock after that was the OPEN PRO MAIN race.... first off, you are not going to let them finish their race after only four laps?? ANy racer or race family knows that anything can happen and you not letting them finish their race was STUPID on your part!! Four laps is not a COMPLETE RACE! Besides, that the "GIRLS" could not even keep the order straight! They didn't know who was in first place as to who was last! And with everyone, including the racers themselves telling the girls they were wrong, the girls being their stupid selves telling everyone they had it right, when clearly they didn't. If they would've taken time to listen to everyone, they would've understood their mistake! And for the "main lineup girl" (not naming names) after they crashed for the second time, runs off ripping her headphones off and throwing everything up in the air....come on quit acting like a --! We feel that we are being punished for racing at other tracks, or owning our own.
Clearly the track has not changed since we decided not to race there anymore 4 months ago, it's probably just gotten worse if anything....obviously we won't be back until there are new people there, that actually know what they are doing. And to you "new" people working at the track now...just because you haven't seen us before..doesn't mean that we don't know what we are talking about. Maybe you guys should have to take some sort of test about the rules of flat track racing,..if you can pass it.
If all the attention wasn't so focused on the MOTORCYCLES, it could be better. Obviously there are way more quads that race there than moto's anyway. So Bob, truely what would you do if all the quads decided to boycott you, the way you have done them???
Maybe ALL THE QUADS should boycott to give your "know it all" staff a kick in the as*!!!!! It is a shame when we look back at the way the barn used to be, and to see now how far down it's went.
To all our other race family, we hope to see you guys somewhere else soon!!!

As a racer i have to agree with most of this. i was in the race there on saturday, and feel like i got screwed because of them calling off the race. I think if you own a race track then you should have some rules set up, maybe a rule book or somethin for the racers to read or a meeting before the race telling rules. Like if you spin out, bike dies, or you wreck causing a yellow flag or red flag more than once you should be DQ from the race, especially in a pro race, we are there racing for money and if we dont get to finish the race that is money that we just lost, and me i cant afford to be screwed over and have my money taken from me like harrah did. Another thing if you are gonna have staff working the race they should not be walking off the track cause of people wrecking, spinnin out and stuff. they are there to work the race and control who gets sent off the track for not knowing how to ride. So my thing is i will not show back up to Harrah anymore for a race. i raced Kellyville the following sunday and thought they had a nice set up and i loved the track it was my first time there and i will be racing there from now on. thanks yahoo for an awesome track, ill see everyone there the next race.

The Open Pro Quad race had 7 entries. It was one of 42 races held Saturday during the AMP OWN Indoor race.

We run under the same rules we have used for the AMP Series since 1982. Straight out of the AMA Racing Rule Book that governs Sportsman Amateur events.
http://www.ama-cycle.org/rulebooks/2009/AMA_Racing_rulebook09.pdf

Amendments to those rules:
http://quads.ampown.com/pdf/misc/General_Rules.pdf

Race officials can call a race after 60% completion, or at anytime if they feel the riders,
spectators or themselves are in danger.

The track officials at AMP work AMA Amateur Grands, VDTRA, CFP, and other races.
They have been officiated at Dirttrack races for many years. Those of you that
follow the circuit know them and see them at many events.
The head scorekeeper Nicalee, is also the President of the AIR Fund, Aid to Injured Riders
that provides financial assistance to injured AMA GNC riders.

Guys and Gals, we will not tollorate verbal threats, fighting, physical confrontations of the race officials, participants or anyone at the events. The Volunteer Fire department EMTs are licensed, and required to call the County Sheriff of any and all assaults or threats scene by them or reported to them. It is not a good to have fights as most the buildings and outdoor tracks used for Powersports events are rented. The venue owners have their own network, and word of these types of incidents spreads to them, and one day they may all decide not to allow Powersports events at all. We do not want that to happen, we have lost enough really nice tracks already.

Regarding the Heat Attack. We are very grateful to the Newalla Volunteer Fire Department's non-stop efforts to revive Kenny. These guys and gals are at every race, and are there to help save lives. They carry professional Life Support equipment, including De-Fib and Resusitation gear. Had they not been on site, as they are at each and every event we produce, I believe we would of lost Kenny. Kenny required an unbelieveble Nine hits from the De-Fib Machine while at the Arena, and an additional two in route and another at the ER room at the hospital. While Nine Lives is a common term, Kenny had 13 that night. He has been released from the hospital. He had a previous triple by-pass cardiac surgery two years prior.

Regading Bikes vrs Quads. Purse for each regular points night is the same for both divisions. The two AMP OWN Specials for the Motorcycles with additional guaranteed money for the purse comes from outside sponsors, two who wish to remain anonymous. Those people like Motorcycle racing and donate money for those races. No one has approached us thus far with doing that for the Quads. At each round where possible we hold a 50/50 Dash For Cash . Most times it goes t the largest pro class, other times we pull cash out of the gate money for the DFC. Quads and Bikes are both eligible.

you say you go by rules thats great you should stick to them then. we didnt even race 60% of the race so that means you should not have called the race, instead you should have disqualified the riders that wrecked and were causing the problems from the begining. and with racing comes danger its our choice to be out there and racing so you should let us race. i was out in the front of the pack and was not in any danger so you should have just let us race our race and let it be fair. i got other tracks to go to so i dont have to worry about racing under your sorry rules that you say you go by.

First off by AMA Rules, I as promoter are not allowed to be a race official. The race officials make the calls on the track. No one brought any complaint to me regarding the stoppage of that race. Once the head scorekeeper posted the official finish the purse was paid. The danger was not to the racers or spectators but to the race official that was assaulted. Rule reads the race may be called complete if 60%, OR if there is a safety concern regarding the course, or riders, spectators or officals safety. After four red flags on the same number of laps. And due to the incident with the assualt on the female Race Official, and the increase in hostility from a number of people towards the race officials, that was ample cause for the race officials to call that a race and score it accordingly.

After producing 84 races at the OK Corral over the past 6 years I feel based on the information I received from the Race Officials, Volunteer Fire Department and the Sheriffs that they made the proper decision.

Man!!! I must have totally blacked out or something???? I don't recall anyone being physically assaulted.... Bob...quit bs-ing and realize that your guys and GALS tend to go by their own rules at times, which is why you keep losing some damn good racers. If you were out there where you were supposed to be, then you could have stopped it all, and maybe straightened it all out....but once again you were unable to be found. It is like as soon as the motorcycles are done, so are you.... Huh and in reality we all know who the "anonomous" sponsors are...we are not stupid..like you think we are. And as to our knowledge..the cops were there because of the aruging, not because someone was "assaulted". Again, if they would have done their job in the first place, it would have been easily avoided. Even if Nicalee is president of whatever, who cares. She of all people should not run off ripping things off of her and acting like a baby. The only reason the race was called is because they wrecked again. Which they should have restarted, not called the race. That was BS and everyone knows it.... I don't care what you have to say about it BOB, you of all people have no say so... you WEREN'T out there!!!! If you plan to RUN a race, don't you think you should be out there at ALL times??? Even when kenny collapsed, you were nowhere....what does that say about you??? I'm glad my life wasn't waiting on you! Or anyone else I know for that fact.

BTW...Bob, you don't even hang up our signs that our sponsors give you....What's up with that?? If your not going to hang them up, maybe you should give them back to us, so that our "new" tracks can hang them up. We know they aren't ashamed to support us.

asohagan; What signs are you speaking of? Perhaps John the Starter may have knowledge of the signs your are referring to. We have always allowed powersports related signs to be displayed, but we don't typically provide the labor of hanging or removing the signs. Most race teams display their sponsors signs in their pit areas.

sparkytrx08, Notice you only have 3 posts on this forum. This series has been running for seven years. We have had over 780 participants compete, paid out thousands in purse and trophy awards, plus over a 4 thousand in Dash For Cash awards in the past six years.

Come find out for your self why the series has attracted that many riders, and been in existance since 1982.
