As it stands, we are meeting at the Shell station by ARMC at Antilley Road and pulling out at 0715 Saturday morning.

Chime in if I am wrong or there is a change.

I was going to be there and grab it, but I have not been feeling great and meds are slowly kicking in, and when I found I had stand-by for work this weekend it was just a sign I needed to stay home and rest. Todd & John said they would grab it and extend our appreciation smile Saves a trip to Lubbock, that will come back to you for sure Copperhead smile

Good run, although breakage ended my day early. LOTS of obstacles that can eat BIG rigs.

I like what I have seen of the park so far. The fees were a bit high but included all passengers. There's about 2 miles of unpaved road to get into the place, and a large area to park. There were a couple of porta-johns there, but I did not see water other than a stock tank nor electric for camping. There are a lot of green, steaming things that you probably don't want to step in... but it's their pasture and they can poop where they want. Nice variation of terrain and most of the bad obstacles had bypasses. It reminded me a little of Hot Springs, although the hills aren't nearly as high. Lots of moss-covered boulders that can and will move out from under you, and many trees.

John got to try out his new low gears and couldn't seem to turn a good obstacle down. A few good obstacles turned _him_ down, though. He kept it mostly upright, although we did get to see Todd fall on his tuckus while acting as a counterweight.

My CJ decided to puke a steering gear (sound familiar?) in a VERY inconvenient spot. After hitching a ride back to camp, I drove back into cellphone range to hunt a gearbox but came up dry. By the time I got back, my industrious companions had mated my CJ (missing front wheels) to a big-block truggy and made a 6x6 out of the two. Think my RH hub is ruined but they got it on the trailer. May be time for a J20 or AM General H1 gearbox... that was around 9 months and 6 or 7 runs since that happened the last time. The gearbox should be under warranty but I really don't want to have to do this every year.

Rob took some video and I have a few stills and video.

I have posted up the few pics I had here:

The vid I shot is a bit fat in the megabytes department and will have to be crunched down a bit before uploading.
