I am ready to come home! I don't know if it helps or hurts looking at wheeling pics. Kinda like pr0n, but I can't do anything to relieve the stress. I miss my Feep (Ford Jeep), my truck, my GN that I haven't even gotten to see the fenders of, etc. I wanna cut, weld, grind, hammer, and cuss SOMETHING. I'm sick of walking to sh!t, shower, and shave. Through the mud, in the cold, no less. Sick of the prick I am forced to work with/for. Sick of the chow hall. Sick of 'self-love' due to lack of choice.
OK, I'm done. (Stepping off soap-box) By the way, I miss the old lady and the kids, too. Ya'll keep the bottles full, the torch sharp, and the wire spool full. I'll be home ASAP. Got less time to go than I've done, so it's the downhill side now.

LOL I hear you Brother.. preach it!!! I know EXACTLY how you feel, still get bad dreams about it.. Oh, good news though, I mailed the DVD's to you and Don today, so be looking for them. Don't know if I can afford to send any more though.. those two almost wiped me out. $5.23 was a little steep for both KIDDING of course. You should see them late next week. Mike

Thanks Mike. Now I've got something to look forward to. Change up the Groundhog Day thing a little! I don't like to complain too much, seeing as how there are lots of folks gone a lot longer and to much worse places. But if I didn't have something to biotch about, my head would explode.

Go to the welding shop there and see if they will let you do some welding. Might be able to play with a TIG set-up. I've done that before and it was a great stress reliever and got to learn soemthing new. As for self love well try to mix it up. Swap hands and try to gain a stroke, do the stranger, eskimo lol

I need more parctice, I guess. I have no rhythm to start with, then switching hands confuses me. Might start using my boss/roommate's pillow. Just for giggles. I haven't gotten in with the welding shop guys on this trip. But who knows what the next 2 months will bring. Ya'll take it easy.

Yeah I too suffer from a complete lack of rhythm. I tried to switch hands once, fell off the cot and screwed my shoulder up. Try to give yourself a reach around. Good times

Less than a month, I think. I am in no better mood about this place than before, but now I have a realistic coutdown to think about. The days are still ticking off seemingly quick, and the BS factor hasn't gotten worse. So Life is as good as it can be for now. There are no plans to let us drink, or import strippers, so it can't be great. I'll settle for 'not any worse' and be happy with it.
Gonna go on an internet shopping spree when I get home (your warning, Mike/Rob) to start getting link materials together. Can't wait.

I'm thinking 1.75" lowers, 1.5" uppers. 7/8 x 3/4, and 3/4 x 5/8 heims. And a 1/2 sheet of 18ga for a fuel cell. For now, anyway.

Looks like a good chance that me and Don may be on the same flight across the water. He's due to be done the same time I'm due to go through there. May be able to have a couple of Guiness in Ireland together on the way. I hope I get to ride first class on the way back!

Well I got a couple of heims for Christmas 2 7/8" and 1 1.25 heim and mis-alignment spacers for the 1.25. Not a great start for the 3 link but a start none the less.

So you going with 1.25 on the lowers, or combo with JJ's? 1.25 with mis-alignmnet spacer/reducers for the upper and lower frame end. Poly bushings at the axle. Fabricated lower links out of plate to get the tire clearance I need. Saw some good pic's in an old crawl mag.

Well, as of now, I should be home next Wednesday. I'm so pumped to finally have 'firm' dates to look forward to. Nothing is ever in stone when it comes to this stuff, but we'll see. The BS factor is high here and that is definetly a big contributor to my excitement. Me and Don won't be traveling together, but we'll get to enjoy a cold beer at his place on the way out. I'll be seeing ya'll soon.

Never thought I'd look at sand on the b@lls as a good thing, but it is great. I should be on the plane in about 7 hours. Next time anybody hears from me, I'll be on EST.

I'm back! Thanks to Mike, Rob, and Todd for being there when I FINALLY got there. Means a lot to have you guys there to see me home. And everybody else that wished me 'welcome home'. I'll be seeing you all soon, with tools in hand. Let's get at it.

Evidently "it's sore" is the word for 'stop'. I don't plan to have my 'tool' in hand for a while, but you never know. I am the best I've ever had. I can't sleep for more than about 6-7 hours yet, so I just get up and have coffee.
