This might be an interesting thread. Since this is a down time for most Wheeling Events by our Club. Down grades like rock bashing can be used for another thread. That is if anyone is interested.
Finished installing upper control arms on my JK Rubicon. As now I added adjustable control arms to the front end and rear lowers. Still waiting for cash and time for the rear upper adjustable control arms. this sill make it easier for moving form a 3in lift to a higher lift later on.

I don't know if this is an upgrade, probably not, H1 to an '85 Bronco II. I didn't think so either, but I still have the H1. The Bronco II was stock when I got it, just a cool paint job on it and the back was cut down (chopped). I have since then lifted the body 2" and added 4" Rough Country Suspension lift, 36X12.5" tires, steering stabilizer, stainless steel brake lines and two club stickers. Next will be the axles.

Modifying is an up grade Wade. Damage is a process in modification. Is the tree branch still attached or was that just a temporary Modification?

LOL it is not attached. So I guess it was semi-temporary. There is evidence of its past presence. But since I ripped it off the tree and threw it in the canyon I think it will have a limited life.

Hey Mudman Even the small ones count, by small I don't think adding air to your tires count, what the heck. give it a shot anyway. I thought that I had posted a response to the hood Modification. must of not hit the submit button. flushed out the gear box fluid and transfer case, should of flushed a bit sooner, looked a bit dark. looks better now shifts likes before. If I don't get back on the trail sooner I'll have a mod on my brakes (cleaning off the rust) Wade hows the hood coming along?

Maintenance time. Flushed out the Transfer case and gear box, oh yeah and put new fluid in it. looked like it needed a flush job with 30K on the Jeep I thought it would look cleaned. Well it looks better now. Now its time to use My Rig again its been sitting to long along with the driver. Had a great ThanksGiving this year. plenty of turkeys around.

Here's my next upgrade. Done bought em.
Yukon front 4340 Chrome-Moly axle kit for Dana Spicer 30 ('84-'90 XJ, '97 and newer TJ, '87 and newer Wrangler) with 27 splines. Yukon 4340 Chrome-Moly axles provide up to 50% increased strength over stock axles for use in extreme performance applications with large tires and high horsepower. Yukon’s 4340 axles are manufactured using the latest technologies and the highest quality materials to ensure high strength and long life. This kit comes with inner & outer axles for both left and right sides along with Yukon SuperJoints. Limited Lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects and axle breakage for as long as you own the vehicle. This warranty is not transferable to another party. “No Questions Asked” replacement for first warranty return, however Yukon reserves the right to either replace axle or refund original purchase price after the first warranty claim. Yukon (through Randy’s Ring & Pinion) makes final determination on warranty considerations.
Also: New wheel bearings (both sides)
Now maybe my axles will hold up to those massive tires.

New upgrades installed 4.88 gears front n rear, replaced front Axels to a PCV life time replacement ( how long the lifetime warranty is always up to debate) , installed an inner tube for the front axel tube not a wimmpy dana 30 for the front any longer. Finished up with installing my tire carrier, no more high lift jack bouncing around in the back of the jeep. and might help me from crunching my tail gate again.

Installed the military PTO winch
just put the first of two layers of primer down on the deuce hard-top and am going to coat in herculiner (inside and out). After I restock on primer and herculiner I am going to herculine the deuce bed, prime the whole truck and repaint desert tan.
I am also debating on putting bed liner down on the floor of the deuce and coat the frame/undercarriage but i need to save money before coating the underside

4.56 gears front 8.8 in back with 4.56 gears, disc brakes, & a loc-rite clutch kit (is maintenance considered an upgrade if you've put it off long enough?) 1" body lift 35" BFG KM2 (set of 5) new shocks in back glass of hard top (tired of hitting my head) new headlights (now they match) changed the batteries and did the LED conversion in my Mag Lite (which stays with the Jeep)
Next project: put the rear axle of my flatbed trailer...back under the flatbed trailer.

Battery went out...shucks. Had to replace it with an optima yellow top. Also, finally got a front end alignment. Trailer is still discombobulated though.

New shoes! Just put on some 35/ 12.50-17 Toyo open country M/T'S. A bit less clearance at the wheel wells. Real close to the bump stops. I need a short run to check them out!

Do you have a set time when your transfer case/transmission is going in? I could use some time away the house. I get half that on a good day.

Not so much of an upgrade, well sort of, Replaced bushing in my front track bar, along with installing a beef up bracket. I would like to Thank Trick and 4wheelerjeff for the help, with out the extra help I wouldn't been able to change out the bushing or the bracket.

Additional upgrades. Installed a EVO Drag link flip kit, which has improved my steering along with the steering stabilizer (shock) up above my axle( since I seem to whacked the heck out of it while wheeling). Installed front and rear ACOS coil over adjusters. this raised the Jeep an additional inch, along with my long trips where I would load the jeep up until I was a inch off my old bump stops. What I have to complete this upgrade is a set of Currie rear upper control arms. I have an additional adjustment of 2 inches that I can go up with my current lift setup, of course there are always adjustments to be made after a day of wheeling. I would like to thank Trick for all the help with this install and other installs over the past year, with out his help it would have taken me a lot longer to install.

Not sure if this counts as an upgrade, but i traded my 00 tj for a 75 bronco... fuel injected 5.0, c4 auto trans (i think), 4.56 gears, detroit locker in rear, e-locker up front, alloy shafts front and rear with upgraded spline count, big winch up front, just put some brand spankin new BF Goodrich KM2's on it today (35x12.5) and some new mickey thompson wheels, cut out the flowmasters and put dual glasspacks and echo tips on her (she's LOUD now).... i bought all the stuff to make the on board air setup, ordered material to finish the cage and build front bumper and sliders, have an ooga horn mounted but not hooked up just yet.... um, back bumper planning is in effect...i think that's it for now... not bad since i've had it less than a week

Got my front and rear bumper/airtank built (tested at 300psi with no leaks), along with cutting up the body and building some rock rails that tie into the rollcage and frame, having wheel spacers made right now to widen it up just enough to clear the tires when i turn... Also modified my exhaust and got it tucked up out of harms way, brought it out the sides behind the doors, also finished building my transfer case skidplate... Next is tucking up the gas tank and building a skid for it...

I installed front and rear JKS track bars, Replaced both front upper control arm bushings on the axle with both being a Johnny joint grease joints, rebuild the control arm bushings, adjusted the caster angle to 4.3 degrees, along with moving the front axle , new Currie lower rear control arms, moved the rear axle back , alined both front and rear axles to center line. After all that the steering was off about a half of a turn, more adjustment. Brent and I went up to Crawford Ranch off road park to check out the new parts along with the adjustments, all worked out well. Cleaned about a 100 pounds of Crawford Ranch mud off my Jeep. Let it dry and checked all my measurements, small adjustments on the front lower control arms. Changed out front and rear Diff fluid. I think my Jeep is ready for this new year of wheeling.

Back to the jack stands. My RCV axles have been making a crunching sound. talk to RCV performance they told me to pull them and send them back for a free rebuild (well mostly free). Pulled the front axles last night wrapped and strapped ready to be sent back. Ya have to love them warranty's! while I'm waiting to get the RCV back I'll service the differential, drain the fluid, use brake cleaner to flush them out inspect everything, add a bit of fluid until I can get the axles back. So for now my Jeep is up on jack stands. I hope I can get them back and installed before the run on the 23rd of this month. Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance. If ya wheel ya have to service you rig.

Off the Jack Stands last night. Its about time, the Jeep is Ready (almost)test drive today to check out the RCV axles Rebuild, they were sounding like marbles in a tin can rolling down a hill. Cleaned out the front Differential, check the wear on the teeth, looking good for 40K on the gears. trying out the AMSOIL in the Diff. About the only repair left is the front wheel bearings the drivers side was making a bit of noise (rumble rumble), anyway the bearings have been ordered, and should be in possible next week for install. Getting ready for MOAB.
