TOREOTA!

Well I got some work done today on the Toreota, I figured Toreota would be a good name for it as it is TORE up into many, many pieces smile BUT it will live again soon enough...

Installed steering box bracket, it is just tacked in place, but it had a few "mike" tacks so it can be moved around, but can cut a few welds and move it around if needed. Lengthened the steering shaft about 2" so it fits and it actually steers smile. Put drag link in place and painted it and tie rod.

While the frame was cooling so I could install the box after cutting holes in frame I lifted the engine and pulled it forward so the tranny cross member mount is actually in its place, which means no drive shaft mods right now.

Put the front inner clip on to test fit to make sure there is room. The radiator fits like a champ, only issue is I will have to put a pusher fan on front, which isn't a problem. After looking at it, I could probably raise the engine a little if needed, but the mounts fit nice as is smile so that may happen later if needed.

I had thought of making the front tilt as one piece, but man that would be a pain smile I would have to attach the radiator to the engine or frame with some sort of mount. And with the way the radiator fits as is I might not do it that way... The jury is still out.

Oh, also put the dual remove filter adapter on the engine, need to decide mount location and cooler before I cut/route the lines.

Removed the smog pump and welded up the holes in the manifolds. I may be able to use the stock manifolds with some modification smile We will see, that would save some $ right now.

More to come....

Well got some more done on the Toreota, swapped the tires out for the smaller ones to make it easeir to move around on the slab. Routed engine harness and plugged in what is available, still need to do some more work on it smile

Found a few issues and a few things to do yet smile
Hook up oil cooler lines
Put VSS bracket and ring on transfer case output
Get oil filters for the remote dual filter set up
Install inner front fenders then:
Mount radiator
and much, much more to come smile
