At the middle of Fall Oklahoma hosts a giant Grand Prix race called the Gold Rush, which is held at Hallett. This event had grown over the past 14 years into a major happening, and now includes a Super Moto race and much more.

During the Winter, Oklahoma hosts a total of 28 Indoor Short Track Series races, held at the OK Corral in Harrah, Oklahoma, Creek County Fairgrounds in Kellyville, Oklahoma and Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Oklahoma. and five Arenacross races including an AMA Pro AX held at the BOK Center in Tulsa. plus for Quads, Karts and Micro Sprints, the 25th Annual Tulsa Shootout held in the 10 acre under one roof Quik Trip Center at the Tulsa Expo.

Racing at the historic OK Corral, formerly known as Johnson's arena began in 1972 under the promotion of Al Johnson no relation to the building. Al also promoted the racing at Yukon and Deanza Speedway in Jenks, Oklahoma in addition to polished concrete coke syrup indoor racing at the Oklahoma State Fair Grounds. Racing greats who began their careers in Dirttrack include the late Randy Cleek, Ed Daley, Ted Boody, Billy Boisemire, Tracy Harlan and Terry Smith. The Cartwright's, the McDonalds, Johnny Isaacs, Scott Adams, Cacy Carpenter, Old Pro Jimmy Long, and World of Outlaws Shane Carson were among the class winners in Harrah.

For midget racecar fans, the world famous Chili Bowl the second weekend in January. Topped off by the end of the season big AMP Powerfest presented by NOS Energy Drink held during the 40th Annual Italian Festival in McAlester, Oklahoma at the spacious Lightning C Arena.

All the promoters have worked together this season to allow for most everyone involved to have a shot at winning the Championships in all three race series. Racers in several divisions and classes have the potential of capturing the Number One Plates from each of the three series.

Due to the declaration of a State of Emergency order, from Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry, caused by the Snow Blizzard, we are re-scheduling the Ed Daley Life Tribute race set for Saturday December 26th, 2009.

Race has been re-scheduled for Saturday March 20, 2010.
