What do you guys think about us rescheduling our race for October 4th? Well as a club, we are planning on that but as for the series race what do you think? We are already running out of days to reschedule so it needs to happen. The weather man says rain in our forecast for the next ten days so keep your fingers crossed. Then the Xtreme race will be the following weekend (11th). I hear that the Laredo guys want to change their race date due to a conflict with the special race at Cycle Ranch. That is fine with me but they will need to pick a date. Ok, everyone chime in and let me know what you'll think.

4th is to short notice other plans, take the 18th since Laredo doesn't want that date and we have all planned to race that weekend. Will just be a location change.

This is why we at LFMX don't like to do series races. You can't keep everyone happy. Someone always wants to change something. We run our track to have fun, not to work harder. Series races are harder to keep up with. It's always a pain in the ass. We always have a makeup race the week after a rain out if possible. We don't care if it's a series race or not. That is just our normal habit. We want to have fun and we have bills to pay whether we race or not. Without income, we wouldn't have the place that we have now. We have rent, utilities, and maintanance fees to keep up with if we are to stay open. It's hard to do when you only open twice a month so we need a makeup race.

the 10 day forecast calls for t-storms through next weekend , with a 60% chance of rain on the 4th. I realise this could change in an instant , but , I think were only gonna get more water. You guys that know who I am know how I whine about not enough races and not enough track time as it stands now .It was never meant to be personal. But Weve raced on bigger tracks that were maintained by only 2 men and still raced in the rain.I personaly think the idea is to fix the track itself so that water only helps the conditions. Theres alot that can be done to avoid this problem in the future and even make it possible to have the track open alot more often , and even easier to maintain. I know Paul and everyone else out there have your hands full tryen to maintain the track and keep people happy, but maybe if the track was fixed and opened alot more often ,,,more folks would be eager to volunteer thier time and possibly more donations.

I know that it is not a personal assult. We have put a lot of work into the track and countless loads of sand and mulch. The track can handle way more rain than in past years but when you have had rain for so many days it just gets to saturated. The pits become a problem too. As far as the track being open more, we try to respect our neighbors because of the noise. I personally have a six day a week job along with many others that volunteer at the track so my time is limited. I have family and my own personal obligations at home to deal with. I do get burned out from time to time. I have been at the track volunteering now for ten years and I've some help come and go. I've seen other tracks come and go too. It's not an easy task. If we were to try and open more I am sure the owner of the property would kick us out because he is already upset with all the traffic and rv's being there as much as they are now.

Besides, it's much easier to go to Red Roost who is open all the time and pay to ride there instead of working at our track all the time. It's nice to get a break from our track from time to time.

To you guys that maintain Los Fresnos. You guys do a GREAT job with the track. You said it that you cant make everyone happy. Its always gonna be like that. You cant do anything about the rain. Im bummed me out also, being this is the second series race that got rained out. Nothing you can do about it. Just make a new date and lets hope weather holds out. I drive from San Antonio to make these races. Even if its three weekends in a row. The tracks down there are very fun to ride and I made some awsome friends along the way!! Stick to your guns guys. You say when and I will be there. Thanks again for all you do.
