The best KTM dealer in Texas is Munnracing.com northeast of Waco. They stock everything and will mail it to you very quickly. It's getting close to racing season again, give them a shout. BB

Thanks everyone - so far this is really useful stuff.

Dave, thanks alot buddy!
I should have known I could count on you!

Geez...I figured there were maybe 250-300 dealerships and maybe 500-600 local single proprietor or repair/parts shops...but never guessed there would be a list of that size.

Even using a call sheet with 10% no-good listings and holding inquiry calls to a max of five minutes a piece, I'm looking at over 108 hours. Let's see - I have a 1000 minute a month plan on Verizon...with a total of 6525 minutes to do the list...it's going to take me almost seven months! - but at least I won't be able to take calls from my kid wanting to borrow money or in-laws wanting to tell me what a great husband/father/all-around-guy I am...

Yeah, I guess that's doable...BB.

Girard,

I should have thought of that!

I mean, who better to contact about community support related stuff than the dealers and shops that support the OHV Program....good thinking!

I've known John for many years, since I first moved to the north side of Houston. There is nothing that compares - dollar for dollar - to a great suspension shop. An older ridden-hard bike with fine tuned suspension will often beat the best new bike with stock. A second in each corner, a second on each landing, a recoil or rebound here or there.

When I was younger, John's suspension work gave me the confidence to take bigger jumps and even the big drop off at Rio Bravo (about 20 foot to the bottom)...something I would never attempt on any of the older '70s or '80s bikes with stock suspension.

DFW has had some great suspension guys over the years too. We should acknowledge them all for the work they do and the added advantage and confidence they provide young boys learning to ride and taking risks to push their limits.
