Bummer you will miss the Hancock DS event. I rode an ISDE Qualifier there and it is a beautiful place. 600 DS guys attended and it was all organized by Drew and Chris Smith.
Dude, talk up the DS and hit their web site. I am sure that a legal plate class would be a hit.
Of course we would need 20 more classes for DS singles, twins, over 300 pounds (the BIKE not the rider!)...but then we could have rider classes too....
Why yes, as you ask, the original enduro in America....they is some argument about that but Jack Pine is pretty old....from the 30's...folks RODE their bike to the event, took off the lights and such, rode 250 miles a day for TWO DAYS (500 miles)...and then put the lights and such back on and RODE HOME.
I think only TUFFERNHELL in Lubbock has done that in recent memory by riding a KTM LC4 from Lubbock to Cloudcroft, competing in the enduro and then riding home.
Hey, right now TSCEC can use some more entries so fire up them DS bikes and get set to have a real DS class! (do you have to use your turn signals?)
