my 16 year old son has a kx 125 and he really wants to race. I let him race one TORCS race last year up at Cherokee in the C sport class and he did pretty good up untill he hit a tree and broke his clutch lever off ( I've since got him a pair of asv break aways) and I was wondering if there is a 125 class or is he allowed to race with the 250fs and he really wants to bore it out to a 144 is this allowed? And what other race series are in the San antonio area.

several options. first off if he is going to race offroad (non-motorcross tracks) he needs to get hand gaurds (bark busters). These are a must. That lever could have been fingers. I've known individuals that have lost fingers by hitting trees without hand gaurds.

classes in the offroad sereis:
TORCS
250F class
Sport 13-29

Both of these classes allow 125's to race in them. There is no restriction for bores as well. So if you don't mind, it's legal.

TORCS is racing at Cycle Ranch in Floresville March 14-15. This will be the MX track and some woods trails.

STORM
Open D (beginer)
Open C
School Boy (intermediate)

STORM is racing n Columbus this weekend (feb 28-29)

If you are looking for MX only check with the local dealers. good luck.
