From the TRIC Motorcycle Club

It is with a heavy heart, and tears in our eyes that we must make the following statement.

TRIC will not be able to oversee the TSCEC Mini Races for 2009 and beyond.

We had a great time in 2008, and enjoyed getting to know the kids, and parents while organizing the MINIs. We also got to know more people in the clubs that hosted the Minis. We received a lot of support from club members, other racers and parents. It was a great experience for us.

Our original goal was to support the enduro circuit by becoming the MINI chair club. However, as a club, we have lost numerous key members, and with the economy the way it is, we cannot commit to overseeing the Minis in the future.

Most of us are unsure of how much effort we can put into our own race attendance. The Bible tells us to let our yes be yes, and our no be no. At this time we have to say no.

The TSCEC will still need mini events in the years to come to keep the sport alive. The responsibility will once again fall to the hosting clubs to provide the manpower to put on the Saturday events.

We do want to encourage the previous hosting clubs to continue putting on Mini events.
The Ross Creek Trail Riders with the Concho Enduro
The Trail Riders of Houston with the Gator Bait Enduro
The Post Enduro Association with the Caprock Canyon Enduro
The Lubbock Trail Riders with the Lone Star Enduro
The Cycleland Family Park with the Cycleland Enduro
The West Texas Boondockers with the Boondockers Enduro
The Red River Dirt Riders with the Red River Enduro

These clubs did a great job in 2008. They provided a course for the Minis and the women who wanted to race on Saturdays. We applaud all the club members. They can see the future of the sport, and have set aside time and effort to ensure the kids have a place to ride. Please give them a pat on the back for their efforts. Also encourage them to keep putting on mini events. If they decide to put on a mini race in 2009, please jump in and help. The kids are the future.

If you live close to one of these clubs, join the ranks, and help out. I guarantee - you will meet a lot of wonderful people with a passion for riding, racing, and hosting races. They need your help. No matter how many members a club has, a few extra helpers are always welcome; especially during trail cutting, race preparation, and race day.

TRIC will try to attend as many Championship Division Races as we can in the years to come. At this point, with the general economy, we can not commit.
However, at the races we do attend, we will still have a church service on Saturday night at 8pm in our camp. Look for signs, our banner, and the Cross above our camp. We know that God has called us to represent Him at the races, and as long as God provides, we will be there. Please attend a church service, so we can be a blessing to each other.

Thank you for your understanding, and we pray we see you on the trail.

I am in the process of finding out how many clubs will be hosting on a mini for 2009.
I will post the information as soon as I find out.
Also, keep an eye on the TSCEC page. I will have it posted there too.
