Larry, does anyone do a "morning service" at the Sunday family days?

David, I have been going to family days for many years now and have never noticed a church service or Sunday school class going on. That could be because I did not park near them or we were out riding. You or anyone else are welcome to conduct a service for any an all who want to participate just like they do at the races.

Thanks,
-Larry

No kidding Gumby! That should be a paid position!

I hope a lot of you can make it out there this Sunday. The TORCS race didn't tear it up at all. The trail is still really fun!

All the hard/easy splits are marked with arrows and signs. The easy loop is ridable by anyone, and the hard loop will be a challenge to everyone. Even someone who burned the loop into memory when it was an AMSA lease will be surprised at how a few key changes made it feel totally different. Especially with the deep creek being dry.

One note on the deep creek... you can only get down in it if you follow the hard trail signs, and you must not ride up the left side of it. That side of the creek belongs to someone else and they don't want riders on that side. So follow the markings and don't climb the left-side creek bank.

We are lucky to be able to ride here in these conditions. It wasn't very dusty for the TORCS race either. With the rain today it will be even better for the family day. Also, temps are supposed to be in the high 50's to low 60's on Sunday, which is about as perfect as you can get in January.

If you couldn't tell by now, I'm looking forward to it! See you there!

Greg

We will open the gate at 9 A.M.

Plan to stop riding at 4 P.M.

We will begin taking down ribbon and arrows at 4 P.M.
We might have a small surprise for those who help!

This track layout is awesome, you will not want to miss this!
I have ridden at Rusty's for many years and I have never rode this much of the DEEP creek bed system.
There are plenty of trails for beginner to novice riders.
There are plenty of challenging creek beds to ride for expert level riders.
The weather is supposed to be perfect.

Hope to see everyone there!

Thanks,
-Larry

We'll mark something in the pecan bottom. There is to much mesquite in the pasture next to the parking area. there is also the area in the grass track that you can park next to and you can watch from your truck.

Drex seems to be happy with a 3 feet deep sand pit!

Hope to see everyone out at Rusty's tomorrow.

We decided to air condition the entire track. The high will be 60 with plenty of Sun Shine!

We anticipate that fun will be had by all.

Hope everyone has a safe trip out!

The loop doesn't go through the pecan bottom like it used to, so there is a lot of room for the kids, and the visibility is good in there too.

I don't know about Rockne, but the amount of rain that Austin got this week was enough to make City Park primo today. There was no dust and great traction. No dust at City Park usually means no dust anywhere in the area.

Wish we could make it. This is missed family day #3 for me and I am less than happy since these have been my favorite 3 properties. In this case, had to replace kickstarter shaft on the KTM after problems at Cherokee last weekend, which was a rather involved procedure...this means the bike is not back together yet. Hope to see you all at the next one.

Great family day. We certainly enjoyed ourselves. It was great riding with Tina, Kat and Aaron and seeing some friends we hadn't seen in awhile. I never made it to the hard trails but I look forward to trying them the next time.

Thanks for Larry, Greg, Kyle and Steve for working the gate!

Gil, another great track layout! THANK YOU!!

AMSA ROCKS....

What a blast !! I enjoyed riding with my two boys (Ted & Jacob) who took me through the 'hard' stuff and boy oh boy that was fun. I enjoyed getting out on the trail with Penny and talking with her and Dave again. Looking forward to the next family day for sure.

What a GREAT layout! Never did the "A&B" hard stuff (the scary down hill in the back was challenge enough for this old gal ). Thanks to my hubby who scouted everything out first and took me through. Penny nailed it when she called him "Papa Duck" - ha! Thanks to those who made this one happen! Weather was excellent! Enjoyed the chat time too! Aaron and I were still laughing at some of the conversations over beer and burgers last night. You guys are too funny! See ya at the next one!

To All:

Thanks to everyone who came out to support YOUR dirt bike club!

The weather was great.

Rusty's ranch had a little rain earlier in the week and the sand was nice and smooth early on.

I can tell you that it was a bit cold at 7:30. Even around 8 AM my fingers were numb after two laps.

Sorry the decisions for the A/B loop versus the easy loop were not so well marked but we fixed that ... hopefully ... early in the day.

The creek beds were awesome! Can you say Steve Cardwell? Good job Steve.

Looked like the kids enjoyed the kids loop. I expect gasoline prices will go up this next week due to them riding so much. Thanks to Greg for setting this up. He was at Rusty's VERY early to make sure things were right for the kiddo's. Thanks Greg.

Enjoyed everyone next to the camp fire later in the afternoon.

I think all in all we had another great family day for the memory books and that is what it is all about!

A VERY Special thanks to Greg, Paul, Doug, and Kyle for all you did after the family day!

Thanks,
-Larry

Great job, guys. I had a blast riding, and it was great seeing everyone again!

Didn't stay too long since I wanted to get back to the kiddo, but it was lots of fun. I've been riding BC too much, I forgot what it's like to ride in sand and whoops!

Chris, it was a hoot to ride with you and swap back and fourth for the lead. You were hauling really good for a guy who does not get to ride very often these days!!
Thanks to Larry, Kyle, and Greg for a great club ride day at one of our favorite local properties. It was really cool just to get to ride and actually get home before dark-30 for a change. Thanks guys!
