Can the new crf150r race the 85 mini. I know this is a dumb question but I really havn't paid attention or looked it up in the rules. Has anyone had any problems with this bike yet? I might buy Blilly one at the end of the season. Just checking on them.

I currently own a 150. Let me tell you this bike rips! I got this bike about 4-5 months ago. I think its a great bike. Also yes this bike is allowed in torn mini. I race mini int. If you have any questions feel free to stop by at one of the races. I usually park next to the otto's or the RFC Ministries Camp. I am in a white box trailer with SMS and Amsoil stickers on the sides. See you at the races!

Also I forgot, the only problem we have had with the bike is the Jetting. Since the bike is manufactured in California they run the carbreautor very lean to pass inspections. What we used was a White brothers Carb Kit. They have all the jets, and new diaphragm pump. They run for about 100$. A cheaper alternative is to buy the Boysen Accelerator Pump Cover which reduces any bogging or throttle hesitation. They run for i think 70$. Either way both will greatly benefit the bikes performance. Other than the carb we have no trouble with the bike. Good Luck.

Yes it can race in the 85 MINI Class. You might check around and ask different people that have them or have had them before purchasing one. We got my son one for Christmas. This bike was awsome very fast and lots of torque but he could not ride it good. It would stall out and takes FOREVER to crank, it weighs more than an 85 therefore when he wrecked it was harder to pick up and he could not manover it through the woods as well. He just wasn't comfortable on the bike so now we own another RM 85L.

I bought this bike when it first came out for my wife. This Bike is awsome. The jetting is messed up but once you get thet right it is very easy to start, it is hard to start until you get the jetting right. Also ours you start like a 2 stroke, A little throttle when you kick it, I have heard a few others say that is the way they start theirs also. I can lean over and start it with my hand. I have done that a few times with my wife sitting on the bike. It is heavier than an 85 but most people dont really notice the weight until they wreck and have to pick it up. it is very light feeling while riding. With spot on jetting and a little different gearing on the sprockets this bike resist stalling pretty well. They also make flywheel weights that would help if you have a problem with that. We are going to buy a rekluse auto clutch as soon as my broken collar bone heals and I can get back to my second job. By the way I broke my collar bone jumping a 35ft step up on the 150. I am 6ft 195# and it has plenty of motor to get me around just not enough suspension (came up about a foot short with my rear tire)for my size, so it will rip with a rider that is the right size for it.
