Glad I waited to get mine until today:

It came with the new cap!

Good choice Tim, looks like a sweet ride. That thing caught my eye the last few trips to TJ's.

On my bike, the cap "weeps" a bit when it's full. I can live with it until I get the upgraded cap from KTM.

I also received the brown "Z" ring several months ago but never got around to installing it. The other day, I received a recall letter from KTM advising that they will provide a complete new gas cap. Contact your dealer -- they may be able to give you more details.

I got the new gas cap this weekend, and had no leaks what so ever. I even had a full tank when I installed it. It has a new button on top of it you push in to remove cap, and you can tell it locks down much tighter. So maybe this will be the end of this issue.
Go pick yourself up one soon.

I had no leaks during my first time out at cross creek on Sunday.
