Rode the track today. The sand on the mx track will be moist and deep which will be freaggin great!
Ride hard into the corners and when you turn the bike starts to drop- then gas it and it shoots right out.
I was at Buffalo Creek before they opened and got to see and have a smidgent of input on the big track, but more so on the peewee track. I was very anxious to see what Curtis could do, and now i've seen it. It will be xc/mx/xc/mx. and same for the peewees but they have very little sand. I rode both today. Certain parts of the xc sand will be watered down, mx sand will have the sprinklers run between races. I really like the woods as the will not be hard packed. There is a big downed tree we all (big track 2nd xc section) go over that has sand built up and over which will wear down some. No house to go thru but we will be going thru a 7' x 15' pipe under a jump and onto the mx portion. A tricky descent to a soft uphill that has you in w wheelie when you come up outta the creek and puts you back down at an angle. No tight- stop the bike to get the bars between the trees. I jump most of the mx stuff, but some is too much for me. Roll'em till you get comfortable and you can jump them in 3rd. The Buffalo Back jump (lil score tower next to it) is a very safe and fun jump, do the preceeding corner in 3rd and shift to 4th and cruise easy and you'll fly nicley with a easy landing. We will not be jumping the big step up in front. Skalywags had another spectacular getoff on that one, and I had no camera, Dang! Snag me out there and Ill show you the jumps. My bike is now blue and my # is 672 on a yammy.
ps there will be a battle of the bands sat nite in the building(15-18 yr olds), but if I cant understand the words, im not into it. But they are a pretty well behaved crowd.
