Anyone know of a club that is near the Lake Jackson, Clute area? I have an older Jeep and would like to get invoved with one. At least when the scramble series slows down.

Check out this site, also posted on TON. Lot's of people in the Alvin, Clear Lake, League City area. No politics, no BS, Tread Lightly and have fun.

Now if you want an organization that has by-laws, rules & regulations, membership dues and a jar of peanut butter to go with your orientation, let me tell you where to go.

Hi Bear - Hi Linda --

Glad to see new members asking questions. I see Laura fixed your link...made it live....to learn more on using links for web and email (it's really easy to do) read the FAQs. I'm sure few other Jeep Lovers will have you following them to various links and clubs shortly. I would, but I'm a dirtbike guy and I'm not allowed to associate with Jeepers.....lowers my class as an offroader...you know how it is..... {:o)

There's several clubs down in the S.E. Texas area and quite a few regular runs happen down S.E. of Houston almost every weekend. Some runs are illegal of course, but there's also some pretty cool folks running. I better quit now, before I get myself in trouble.....I'm just gonna' set my stop watch and see how long it takes for the Jeep Junkies to find you two.....

Linda is right....there's a SUAW forum here at TON and you'll have a good time with them. See ya' around TON.....tell your friends....later....BB.

I pulled up the site and it says that they are having a meeting at a park off of Nasa road 1 in Clear lake this Friday. Is that on? I would like to go but it's a little over and hour drive for me and I'd hate to get there and be the only one. Thanks for the response and the info. I use to have a CJ-5 but sold it. Now I have a 1977 Cherokee Chief and has me fired up about lifts, bigger tires, lockers, winches, etc! Might need them when I go to the scramble races and the tracks are wet, at least what I tell my wife.

As far as I know the meeting is still on. We don't usually make it because we live in Tomball and that is a long hectic drive to make to and from after a busy week. There are several contacts for SUAW who frequent "Da Rocks" on Friday night. I will see if I can hook you up with some contacts and answers for Friday. Should be nice weather for the drive!

We are gonna be there out there on Friday nite at 7pm. It is at Clear Lake Park boat ramp. Just over the bridge from the Hilton. It should be a good meeting with it being the week before Rough Canyon. See Ya There. By the way, I come all the way from The Woodlands down there(but then again, I'm crazy).
