...Mike Cox.
He's an old buddy of mine that I've lost touch with since moving from Corpus. His Dad was the Justice of the Peace in Flour Bluff.
Mike, from what I remembered, was a very good MX racer and had a ton (no pun intended) of trohphies.
If you or anyone you know remember's Mike Cox, please IM me.
Thanks!
David

Do you remember Chris Gunter. he was from Corpus and he was super fast on a 84 kx 125. this kid looked like he came right off the beach from California. He was killed when he hit a tree at Rio in 1984.

Now this guy "Old Boot"BERMBUSTER is FAST! I know , used to ride with him @ DBSA and the TCHSS and he did win the '94-'95 series TCHSS ,BUT man he can MX too. He is super nice and serves our community. He also can run with Kent most days. Good Times MX saw him going very good on many days! However he isn't as "old" as some of us other "knobs" but is still old enough to shame many of the youngsters today, don't kid yourself JW is FAST!

I hate to bump this old thread up, but I found it when searching for "Chris Gunter".
I was about 10 when he had the accident, and in fact, I was the first person to run to get the medics when he hit the tree. Does anybody know anything else about his family? Where did they go?
Also, was curious if anyone remembers Rowdy Flanagan? His dad owned a muffler shop in the area. He was a great mini rider - anybody know what happened to him?
I grew up in the Corpus area racing minis, and have a lot of great memories. Chris and Rowdy were two people that I remember the most, and I will never forget Chris' accident. It was long after that wreck that I walked away from bikes.
Thanks in advance!
