I hate to bump this old thread up, but I found it when searching for "Chris Gunter".

I was about 10 when he had the accident, and in fact, I was the first person to run to get the medics when he hit the tree. Does anybody know anything else about his family? Where did they go?

Also, was curious if anyone remembers Rowdy Flanagan? His dad owned a muffler shop in the area. He was a great mini rider - anybody know what happened to him?

I grew up in the Corpus area racing minis, and have a lot of great memories. Chris and Rowdy were two people that I remember the most, and I will never forget Chris' accident. It was long after that wreck that I walked away from bikes.

Thanks in advance!

texastechster, what is your real name? I knew Chris quite well. His brother was a room mate of mine in the hospital when I broke my femur practicing at the Kingsville track. He was in for knee surgery. I have often wondered what happemed to the guys I raced with fro the Corpus area. Russell, Weldon, the Cox's, Attwoods, Andy Murry, Russell Rogers, Jake Houston, etc...
