hey all, new here with some questions

Interested in dual sport rides , predominatly off road easy dirt road and improved trails., I usually ride national forest roads in Fla. on an honda 250 xl. Too old to be doing any fast agressive riding.

1. Any rides around Austin.

2. Any info regarding rides in cental tx area. i noticed in Ride Texas top 10 edition that there were a number of dual sport rides listed with out a description of the specific routes. Anyone have the details?

I'm sure I will have other questions . thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum......This is a great place for finding out about Texas Dual Sport riding......Spend little time browsing previous posts and you'll get an idea of what's available to us here.....Texas has virtually no public land we can use but it does have a lot of poor Counties that can't pave their roads.....

Again....Welcome aboard!!!!

Welcome, get yourself the roads of Texas mapbook. It will show all of the county roads in pretty good detail. Most of the GPS software also does pretty good. It's nice to have the book though cause it gives you a bigger picture.

Heading east of Austin is probably your best bet. And there is the Terlingua ride, advertised as a great experience for riders of all levels.
