Hello 125mx,

The TORN series is Great. I can not say enough about it. This is a great place to start out. The number of racers is small (so far) about 5 to 15 per class. The tracks are beginner friendly. From your post it looks like your son would ride the 65 ama class. I think he would ride the Pee Wee track.

My suggestion if I can be bold, is to come out to Bowie July 22. On Saturday morning your son can ride all he wants for about 20 dollars. He does not need to race he can just ride during the practice time. If he wants to race then he can for a little more money. If not, stay around and watch the other races. It is a lot of fun.

I do not know about any clubs but I do know that groups are starting to form from the friendships. The group that I hang out with has a boy that rides the 65 ama class.

My comprehension of this series, (I hope I do not get anyone upset) is this is a start up series, It is also less stressful of a series. I do not think there are as many Hardcore race or die riders in this series. It also seams to be more geared for the beginner and amateur rider then for the pro or expert. (some of the other series has extreme sections) This makes it real friendly.

The tracks are a nice mix of Motocross and cross country. They water down parts of the track so it helps keep the dust down.

As far as places to ride in general, Rocky ridge and Red River dirt trails are the two I prefer.

I hope this helps out

Todd
