I bought a 2003 Polaris Trailblazer 250 and have the need for more power and speed.

I'd also like to get better suspension in it.

Any suggestions on either?

You can look at going with different sprocket sizes for starters. A larger rear will give more bottom end and less top and a smaller rear sprocket will do the opposite. It's cheaper to play with the front sprocket but I forgot which way does what. I don't know anything about trailblazers but am pretty sure you can mess with the jetting. Getting a K&N air filter, aftermarket exhaust before you rejet would help.
As far as shocks do a search on google or something similar for trailblazer shocks and find some aftermarket ones.
Hope this helps.

Probably the most cost effective way would be to upgrade the clutch. Not the whole thing, just a kit for the internals. Heel Clicker is an example. Drill your airbox, add some intake reeds and possibly one size larger jet for the carb and you'll be rockin for around $300. Try E-bay for the reeds and maybe a used clutch kit for less! When it's really wet and muddy you can just duct tape the holes in the airbox. Or just E-bay another airbox.

Here's a nice way to gain some speed and all you need is a nice strong rope,,, Tie one end to your ATV and the other end to my camero, we'll see the first 11 second quad LOL. Just hold on OK
