I have noticed recently a number of new user registrations from the above domains that are not being approved. I assume these folks are not receiving their registration acknowlegement email. In some cases, I have verified that the email did indeed arrive at the destination. I can only assume that the message is flagged as spam for some reason and dropped by the ISP.

If you have registered with TON and have not received the confirmation email within ten minutes, email us at forum@texasoffroad.net and we will manually authorize you. Please send us your login name, email address, and the desired password.

If you would like to spend time with your ISP trying to find out why the email is being blocked, it is fine with us. We pass every spam test known to man and no longer wish to work these issues. All we can do is send the email. If they don't want you to receive it, that is between you and the ISP.

For those "doubting Thomases" among you, we monitor our mail server closely for a number of reasons (the most obvious of which is that we don't like to manually have to set folks up). In the past several weeks, I have had several emails from folks that claim our messages didn't arrive and that they were not blocking them. In all cases, it has been a problem on the their end.

If the emails don't arrive within ten minutes, something has failed. Please don't just register a second (or third or fourth...) user name. Just email the user name, and password to the admin link at the bottom of every page and we'll set it up.

I am with AOL and it was flaged as spam so I had to retrieve it from my spam folder.

Yep, full of spam wasn't it?

Only thing worse than spam are sysadmins that think they can filter it...
