Just wanted to tell you guys about a very crazy, but very brave friend of mine who is in need of prayer right now. I have an old highschool friend who is a police officer in New Orleans. Her name is Lanell Morton. She is smaller than me, blond headed, blue eyed, a very pretty girl with a big heart. I called her on Sunday to see where she was before Hurricaine Katrina hit land. She was in Houston headed back to New Orleans and scheduled to hit town about the same time as the Hurricaine!!! Crazy girl, she knows no fear!!! For this, I admire her, but wanna shake her sometimes!!
She was loaded down with supplies and headed for duty. I was not worried about her at first. She lives one block off of Bourbon Street, and that area was not badly affected by the Hurricaine. But when the levy broke, it became a different story. I have not been able to contact her, all circuits are busy. I am sure she has her hands full. I just pray that she is safe and is able to come home to us and tell us all kinds of wild tales. With all of the looting, and the shooting, and the raping going on I worry about her. I pray that God is watching over her and keeping her safe in this troubled time.
They say God watches over fools and children.....Lanell is the biggest FOOL I KNOW!!!!! HA!!! Please pray that God watches over her as she helps to selflessly serve and protect his children. Amen.

Good news today!!! I finally got through on her cell phone!!! She had been on duty till 6:00 am, and I call her and wake her up at 9:45 am!! She sounded really tired, but I was just glad to hear that voice on the other end of the line!!! I told her that I love her, and to call me later when she got some rest. Thank you Lord for answering my prayers!!!

The Lord takes care of all who believe, and trust in Him. He loves us so much!
We will continue to pray for your friend. She has a tough job trying to police the flood area. We will pray for strength from God.

Thank you Ralph!!! I truly admire her, and think she is a hero. I certainly would not want her job, but I appreciate those that are willing to do what it takes, no matter what it takes.
