Hello all. I am about to pull the trigger and get a dual sport to ride around Austin. I have a ZRX 1100 now and i figure a dual sport would be a great second bike. Im planning on eventually making a motard out of the bike I buy but i definately want have a set of dirt tires to use when needed.

So here's my main question. Besides City Park where are some good trails around Austin for dual purpose bikes? Im mainly looking for spots to mess around within an hour or so of Austin.

Any comments on rides or spots would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
J

Great suggestion. Ive been looking into this for about a month and I am not certain if I want to go with a factory motard or convert a street legal dual purpose myself. I'll make a post for opinions and see what comes back.

Thanks again,
J
