Howdy,

A friend of mine and I were planning on bringing his 91 GMC Jimmy to the Sept 18th Post Playday and I just had a few questions about it. First off can we bring the forms that must be filled out that day? Second who do we need to e-mail letting them know we are coming?

Also, the rig we are bringing is on 38.5s, and is built, but doesnt have front or rear lockers, do you think we could push it and run one of the harder trails? We MAY have the rear end welded by then, but not too sure.

I look forward to meeting some of you, and hope we can enjoy some good wheeling, it will be the first major shakedown run after going from 10 bolts front and rear and having 33's to having a 3/4 ton front 44 and 60 rear on 38.5s, it ought to be interesting

Thanks for everything

Wes

You can take the forms if you want, it will save some time if you do. It's not neccessary to send an email, I havent done it either time I went.

You will probably be able do most of the trails without being locked up, but expect to use the throttle a lot and take more time to get up the trail. Last time there was a Bronco open fr and rr with 33s(?). He did most of the trails, but had a pretty hard time with it. 38s will give you a lot more tire contact though.

I will agree with Zach. You should be ok with 38's open but you may need momentum on your side. Lock would probably be more enjoyable but that depens on your wheeling style. I would suggest filling out the form and bringing it with you that morning. Unless you need directions you can really just show up at McDonalds in Post at 8am and be ready for some fun. You can check out some Pics on our past events page Past Events . I dont have the location with the dates but if you click on Photo Main it will take you to the main album on TON and you can browse from there.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Hey Zach you plan on making the 18th??

As long as you dont turn anywhere you cant miss the McDonalds.

I might come if someone has an open seat. The scout is still sitting from the last trip, I havent had the money to fix it yet.

Although, now that I think about it, I could go pick up my K10 this weekend and wheel it.

Thanks for the information guys. Zach this is Wes from texas4x4, i think the K10 axles would be begging for help since you have the big-block in there now!! But we would all love to see you out there, so get 'er done!!!

I think we are goin to try to run one of the harder trails, after all "when in doubt throttle out" is my buddy's motto.

Thanks again for all the info

It hasnt had the 1/2 ton axles in it for a couple years. It's got 3/4 tons.

Unless I get a job soon I probably wont be able to bring it though.

Oh, I didnt know that, either way, I wish I could offer you a seat in the Jimmy, but it is all filled up.

And I know how the job thing is around here, if you have 5 years of driving experience CitiBus is hiring drivers right now!
